Dinner and a Diva this month, on Tues., Oct. 18, will bring you highlights from one of the most popular operas ever created, La bohèmePuccini’s masterpiece never fails to pull at your heartstrings with a story of love in its greatest form. In snowy Paris, six young, penniless artists are full of idealism and beauty, but they soon encounter the harsh realities of life. Diners may recognize this story from the musical Rent, which is loosely based on this timeless classic, and you may also have heard the music in the movie, Moonstruck.

This special event includes a multi-course wine dinner with entertainment from the Capitol City Opera company. This performance features: Mary Brooke Quarles, soprano; Tasha Posey, soprano; Khary Wilson, tenor; Scott Willis, baritone; and Ivan Segovia, baritone. The dinner includes hors d’ oeuvres, salad, choice of two entrees, dessert, coffee/tea, and two glasses of wine, for only $60 per person (tax included; gratuity separate). The performers from the Capitol City Opera Company sing between each course.
